NATURE AND HISTORY

Birds, sights and nature conservation

For those who long to watch birds, the park’s rich biodiversity awaits. Many rare species of migratory and breeding birds live here, including peregrine falcons, kestrels and swallows.

Cape Greco also hides secrets of the past. Ruins and monuments are scattered throughout the park, and at Konnos Bay you will find the remains of an ancient settlement. The national forest park is a special protection area, where work is under way to protect biodiversity and the natural environment.

Respect nature

Support responsible tourism – stay on the trails, don’t drop litter and follow the nature conservation rules.

MY ACCOMMODATION TIP

Where to stay if you want to visit Cape Greco

Cape Greco is a short way from Protaras. There I recommend the Sunrise Beach hotel and Sunrise Pearl – very high-quality hotels by a beautiful beach in the centre of Protaras. Crystal Springs is a good hotel with good service and a pleasant setting. Another very good hotel with good service is Cavo Maris at the end of Protaras.
