LEGAL INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy: how Guide Lens handles your personal data – clearly and simply.

I take the privacy of Guide Lens visitors seriously. This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit this website, why, for how long and what rights you have. Processing is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll. on the processing of personal data.

1. Data controller and website operator

Aneta Kafková, Company ID (IČO) 04790537, registered at Sokolovská 514/99, 360 05 Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic
Email: info@objektivem-delegatky.cz
Website: https://guide-lens.com

I have not appointed a data protection officer, as this is not required. Please send any questions to the email address above.

2. What data is processed and why

Visiting the website

Every time you visit, the server automatically records technical data – your IP address, browser and device type, the time and the pages visited. This is needed to run the website securely and to protect it against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email

When you send me an email, I process your name, email address and the content of your message so that I can reply. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering your message (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Affiliate links

Some pages on Guide Lens contain, or may in the future contain, affiliate links to travel companies, accommodation and booking platforms, tour providers and other services. If you click on such a link and then make a booking or purchase, I may earn a commission. The price you pay stays the same. When you click, the partner or the affiliate network (for example CJ, Awin or GetYourGuide) may store a cookie in your browser so that it can recognise that you came from this website. I do not receive any of your personal data from partners or affiliate networks – I only see aggregated figures about clicks and commissions. Processing on the partners’ side is governed by their own privacy policies. I only recommend places and services that I consider useful, and affiliate partnerships do not influence what I write.

Content embedded from other websites

Some pages contain content from third parties. It behaves in the same way as if you had visited their website, and the provider may record your IP address:

  • IslaBu – a widget showing current beach and sea conditions in the Canary Islands,
  • Google Maps – links to places on the map (Google Ireland Limited).

Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are linked with ordinary links only – no social media button or plugin passes on any data unless you click the link.

3. Cookies

At present this website only uses cookies that are technically necessary for it to work. It does not use any analytics or advertising cookies. If analytics or affiliate tracking that requires your consent is added in the future, the website will ask for your consent first, and this policy will be updated.

4. How long data is kept

  • server logs – for as long as necessary for operation and security, usually a few weeks,
  • emails – while your message is being dealt with and then for no longer than 3 years, unless a contract results from it,
  • website backups – older backups are deleted regularly.

5. Who data is shared with

I do not sell personal data. Access to it is limited to processors and recipients without whom the website could not run:

  • the web hosting provider whose server hosts the website,
  • Google Ireland Limited – email (Gmail) and Google Maps,
  • the affiliate networks and partners mentioned above – only when you click on an affiliate link.

Some of these providers (for example Google or affiliate networks) may also process data outside the European Union, particularly in the USA. Such transfers are based on the European Commission’s decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.

6. Your rights

You have the right:

  • to access your personal data,
  • to have it corrected or completed,
  • to have it erased (the “right to be forgotten”),
  • to restrict its processing,
  • to data portability,
  • to object to processing based on legitimate interest,
  • to withdraw your consent at any time.

Just write to info@objektivem-delegatky.cz. I will reply within one month at the latest. If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz) or with the data protection authority in the country where you live – in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Security

The website runs on a secure HTTPS connection, it is updated and backed up regularly, and access to the administration is protected. No automated decision-making or profiling with legal effects takes place.

8. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy if the services on the website or the law change. The current version is always available on this page.
